CEO's CORNER
I am LaQuisha Chester! I was born and raised in Anderson, SC, where I attended T.L. Hanna High School; home of James “Radio” Kennedy. After high school, I attended the University of South Carolina where I graduated with a degree in Early Childhood Education. Upon completion of my undergraduate studies, I received my Masters in Reading and Literacy from Walden University.
I started my career in 2009 teaching Pre-k in Anderson, SC at Head Start. In 2010 I started working for Richland School District One where I taught PreK, first and second grade and then later became a Reading Coach. I also worked in Richland School District Two and served as a reading coach. I have 10+ years’ experience as an educator working with students in a public-school setting. I am Gifted and Talented Endorsed by the State of South Carolina, and I am also Orton Gillingham trained and focused on supporting students with dyslexia.
In June 2022, I left the public school system to start Inspired Learning and Above, LLC. As a former educator, I have watched so many of our children struggle in school and others not being challenged or pushed. I wanted to be the person to help set them up for success academically and personally. Inspired Learning and Above was designed to support students in need under a flexible learning model. We will empower students by providing them with the tools required to be successful in the classroom and beyond.
